Join us as we bring together educators, caregivers, nonprofit leaders and advocates, for a dynamic day focused on closing the literacy gap in the Cayman Islands.
Following a successful inaugural conference in 2025, the LIFE Literacy Conference returns in 2026 as a platform for meaningful discussion, collaboration, and action around literacy and early childhood education in the Cayman Islands.
The conference brings together educators, caregivers, nonprofit leaders, policymakers, and community partners for a dynamic day focused on closing the literacy gap through early intervention and shared understanding.
In 2025, the conference welcomed approximately 300 attendees, doubling the initial target and demonstrating strong demand for both the topic and the platform.
The 2026 programme will build on this momentum, continuing to explore the critical role of early childhood development in shaping lifelong learning and success.
Established in 2012, Literacy Is for Everyone (LIFE) is the Cayman Islands’ literacy charity. LIFE’s mission is to significantly increase literacy levels by ensuring access to high-quality learning resources, fostering a culture of reading, and empowering individuals to thrive through literacy.
LIFE believes literacy is foundational to reducing poverty, crime, and unemployment, while increasing job skills and expanding opportunities for Caymanians. Through advocacy, direct support programmes, and community partnerships, LIFE is dedicated to improving literacy for all.
The inaugural LIFE Literacy Conference is more than an event. It’s a movement to close the literacy gap in the Cayman Islands by investing in our youngest learners.
