Dr. Shannon Seymour is a clinical and developmental psychologist with over 25 years of experience. She holds a PhD in Psychology with a focus on Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and Developmental Disabilities, and a Bachelor’s (Honors) in Psychology. A Registered Psychologist with the Council for Professionals Allied with Medicine in the Cayman Islands, she is also a member of the Canadian and American Psychological Associations.
Dr. Seymour specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism, ADHD, and Social Communication Disorder. Trained in EMDR, CBT, ACT, and certified as a SPACE™ therapist, she delivers evidence-based interventions for children and adults. As a ZeroToThree™ certified instructor, she partners with government and non-profits to deliver The Growing Brain™ program, equipping early educators with neuroscience-based strategies to strengthen child development.
She is also an endorsed Reflective Supervisor, mentor, and strong community advocate, having co-founded the Cayman Islands Psychological Association and the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre. Since founding The Wellness Centre in 2004, she has led a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing mental health services in the Cayman Islands.
